Baby Grief

For a respected Christian leader's view on the subject of miscarried or stillborn babies and heaven, see the Where is God in This?page. While the Bible doesn't offer a clear answer to this question, many Christians (including prominent Christian leaders) believe that God mercifully allows the unborn to be with him in heaven.
Trust in Him...
God knows your situation and your baby's every detail. During grief it can be hard to trust God's actions—many people have so many questions in the pain. But we can trust God's character. He is wise, powerful, loving, and kind. He loves people so much, he continues to give them chances to know him and be loved by him.
Sin has scarred the earth and everything that lives in it. Until Jesus comes again, we won't have perfect lives. Suffering will not end until the end of time when God makes everything right again. Even if you don't "deserve" it, you have felt the consequences of living in a sin-marked world. God is just and allows us to make bad decisions and even hurt other people. But not forever and not without consequences. Death, pain, evil, and suffering will all meet their end when Christ comes again.
When you are living with the results of a sinful, dying world, it is often hard to know how God fits into the picture. You can trust that God is who he says he is. He does have the power to keep you from all suffering. But more than that, God desires that you know him and his deep love for you.
No one can say with absolute certainty what happens to the unborn when they die. But you can trust that God is loving and fair, and that he always does what is right.
Trust sometimes feels like a blind leap. But we are leaping into the arms of a most trustworthy One. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can trust that God is who he says he is and that he will fulfill his promises.
